Thanksgiving Treats

Take a bite out of one of these delicious pumpkin pie flavored treats

Supplies: candy

    ¼ pound Make’n Mold dark green candy wafers
    ½ pound Make’n Mold orange candy wafers

    ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
    ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    Make’n Mold microwaveable tray (5700)
    Make’n Mold painter’s palette (5775)
    Make’n Mold Pumpkin w/Leaves Miniature mold (1032)
    6 cups crisped rice cereal

    4 cups miniature marshmallows
    ¼ cup margarine
    Non-stick cooking spray
    Waxed paper
    6" x 10" baking dish
    Decorative Fall Plate
    Make’n Mold candymaking gloves (5725)

Melt dark green candy wafers in the painter’s palette according to package instructions. Use a brush from the painter’s palette to paint the stem in each of the mold cavities with melted dark green candy wafers. Chill 1-2 minutes.

Melt orange candy wafers in microwaveable tray according to package instructions. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. Fill candy molds with the orange candy mixture. Chill 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile melt margarine in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows and stir on medium-low heat until melted. Once marshmallows are melted, remove from heat. Stir in crisped rice cereal. Spoon mixture into baking dish, sprayed with non-stick spray. Press mixture into the pan firmly. Set aside 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, cut into 1½" x 3" bars. Stack bars on the decorative plate as desired.

Once candy pieces are finished and have reached room temperature, dab a small amount of melted orange wafers onto the back of each candy pumpkin. Wear candymaking gloves to attach each pumpkin to the front of each cereal bar.
